Do I have to call for an appointment to come down to Stone’s Edge?
Arranging an appointment is preferred but not necessary. We recommend that you make an appointment so that our staff will be able to fully introduce and tailor your stone experience. The time required per appointment can vary substantially depending on the needs and involvement of our customers. Our customers deserve timeliness and commitment.
What is the appropriate thickness for a granite countertop?
Stone’s Edge believes in the primary economic stimulus of man to answer this question. Simply, “More is preferred to Less” or put into industry terms, true 1 ¼” stone is preferred by most cliental. While there are many differing combinations that can be gained from lamination steps of additional materials (usually when dealing with ¾” stone), the joint lines are usually visible and this is not desirable for most customers. By using 1 ¼” stones, edges and finished/polished sink hole cut-outs express “Equalized Traverse Beauty”! If thicker materials are requested, we will gladly assist with the special ordering process of these materials. Remember, this direction is chosen by you, the customer, and our facility will bring your requirements into existence.
Payment Policy / Work Scheduling
Stone’s Edge Granite accepts Personal Checks, E-Transfers, Cash and Debit Card Payments. A (50%) deposit is required before the production is scheduled on the calendar. Work orders are scheduled after the deposit is received. The order by which a job is scheduled is simply followed by “first come, first served”. At Stone’s Edge Granite Company Ltd. each customer is just as important as the next! Upon your job being scheduled, your sales agent will provide you with a list of detailed guidelines and check points for your project to ensure no unforeseen problems will arise during the process of templating or installation.
